1. Use descriptive, keyword rich text throughout your page(s).
   
   
2. Narrow down your keywords to 6 or 7 that are most important; disburse them frequently throughout the titles, headings, alt tags of your web site.
   
   
3. Choose your title with care. Many search engines use this in ranking documents, so make sure to include as many keywords as possible.
   
   
4. Change your title frequently and re-register with the search engines. Some of the search engines will list your site under both titles!
   
   
5. Link to other websites. If you page contains no links, some search engines will not register a webpage.
   
   
6. Use meta tags!! Very important. However, this is not the only way that your webpage is ranked.
   
   
7. Patience is key! Some search engines may take up to 3-6 weeks for your page to appear. Once you are in a search engine, make sure to check it at least once a month and resubmit!
   
   
8. Link to your competitors. If you are not showing up in the top 30 rankings in the search engines, contact your competitors in the top 20 and offer to link exchange with them.
